We have positions for LVNs for our Substance Abuse Residential Facility.
We are a sub acute detox and residential facility that provides co-occurring treatment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES 80% OF TIME:
Licensed vocational nurse completes all assigned tasks from the treatment milieu are adhered to, which include the following:
1.
Crisis Intervention - Be immediately available to CAC staff during working hours to provide medical assessments/ intervention and completes notes end of shift or as required by CAC policy and procedures.
2.
Observe Self-Administered medication for Residents 3.
Complete intake assessments, health questionnaire assessment, and intake forms 4.
Complete Face-to-face monitoring following CAC policy and procedures, 5.
Develop withdrawal management plans under MD supervision 6.
MD/NP Consultation and Document:
Verbal orders, medication changes, reason for medical referrals, refusals, medication educational sessions to Residents etc.

Complete withdrawal assessment tools:
COWS, CIWA-AR and CIWA-B per CAC policy 8.
Administer toxicology screenings (tests) for illicit and licit drugs as necessary and document results.
9.
Assist Doctor/NP with medical visits with gathering Take vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, and respiration.
10.
Facilitate filling of Resident's medications per physician's orders.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 15 % OF TIME:
1.
Document treatment plan progress, documentation of Resident withdraws sxs, behavioral changes.
2.
Coordinate lab services when required and medical referrals for services.
3.
Transfer and discharge Resident's medication forms 4.
Audit medication count, room, refrigerators, and destroy medications as per CAC policy PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 5 % OF TIME:
Suicide assessments using Columbia and creating safety plans Ordering of supplies as needed e.

, food, paper, medical necessities, etc.
, Observe universal precautions, including correct handling of blood borne pathogens, storage of lab specimens, correct disposal of infectious waste according CAC policy Maintain Residents detox chart/EHR up to date, per agency and contracting agency requirements Completes quality assurance reviews of charts and completes corrective plans according to CAC guidelines.
Adhere to the established legal and ethical codes of the LVN licensing in the State of California Adheres to CAC policy and procedures, DHCS, Joint Commission, mandated reporting guidelines, regulations and 42CFR and 45 CFR confidentiality guidelines, and established legal and ethical codes of the BBS.
Read one book per month as assigned by Executive Director or COO and complete 1 page book report.
Assures that program complies with Drug Free and sanitary requirements; Provide Health Related Education to Residents, individual and or group.
Performs other duties as requested or assigned, verbally or in writing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) /Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) program and current licensure
Experience:
A minimum of 1 years clinical experience preferred in related field (SUD/MH) and/or equivalent.
THE SHIFT YOU ARE APPLYING FOR IS DAY (7am-3pm), EVENING (3pm-11pm), OVERNIGHT (11pm-7am) , FULL-TIME , PART-TIME, WEEKEND DAY, EVENING OR OVERNIGHT SHIFT Salary:

00 per hour 5 years to 7years and supervising others or managing detox facility start at $35.

00 per hour 5 years plus knows how to create joint commisssion and DHCS detox and RTC policies and procedures and has successfuly passed 2 inspections with joint commission and DHCS with minimum of 3 years of supervision or management of residential detox or equivilant start pay is $ 37.
