Position Overview Our team is looking for seasoned Typescript developer to work on technologies like Electron, NodeJS, Angular and Chromium open-source projects. If you have a passion for open web standards and their use in desktop application development, we would like to hear from you! As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working side by side with a cross functional team of product owners, quality assurance and engineers who are focused on the continued growth of Extron's award winning Control Systems solution. You will be working on solving real world problems and innovating how our millions of users configure, control and interact with AV Devices. You will participate in both early technology research and product development. We need our engineers to be versatile and passionate to tackle new problems as we continue to push technology forward. Responsibilities Build, maintain and enhance the Electron application framework used by desktop applications. Optimize the angular micro-frontend UI framework Design and develop Node and Angular packages which enable high modularity and flexibility in packaging cross-platform desktop apps. Utilize your industry experience to maintain high scalability, performance, and efficiency. Find creative ways to maximize from the IaC CI/CD framework Mentor and train developers to build a culture of modern, open-source style typescript development. Use GIT repository management in conjunction with Electron and angular packagers to enhance the build, compile and deploy phases. Working in a fast paced, highly independent, and collaborative team to build and ship Extron's first generation of modern cross-platform desktop applications. Minimum Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science (or similar) with 8 years or M.S. with 6 years of hands-on production experience with both front-end and back-end technologies Experience in developing apps using Electron framework Proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript programming with experience in profiling, debugging, and packaging. Excellent in practices like automated testing, design review, code reviews Strong background in source control frameworks like GitHub, bitbucket or similar. Experience with automation testing frameworks like Jasmine, Mocha, or other JS frameworks Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams. Good understanding and appreciation for agile software development process (SCRUM/Kanban) Desire to go beyond individual tasks and strive to further the platform, the vision and quality of product. Preferred Qualifications Contributed to the Electron/Chromium projects Experience in horizontal platform development Experience in C+
programming a plus Experience in network programming and network security a plus
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
