Position Overview The Extron Security Center of Excellence (SCE) is looking for a talented and motivated Sr. Product Security Engineer to join its rapidly expanding team. This individual will be primarily focused on developing test plans, cases, scenarios, and requirements; as well as actual hands-on testing of products within various phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Additionally, they will participate in the identification, evaluation, and selection of security tools and technologies to continually enhance Extron product security. Responsibilities Analysis and testing to verify the strengths and weaknesses of products in various environments, utilizing commercial and open source tools; Penetration testing (Black/Grey/White Box testing) and assist with the development of remediation recommendations for identified finding; Identify and clearly articulate (written and verbal) findings to stakeholders; Develop cybersecurity test strategies and plans suitable for a variety of products; Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop test strategies and plans; Develop and run automated test scripts and evaluate results; and, Develop new security solutions/tools, including automation processes, to assist in addressing existing vulnerabilities. Education and Experience Requirements BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent; 5
years of experience in a product security or cybersecurity role; Team player with the ability to both articulate thoughts and opinions but also listen and compromise; GPEN, GWAPT, OSCP, OSEE, or equivalent certification a plus; Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) a plus; Ability to champion innovation through change; and, Independent, self-managed, and motivated with high integrity.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Product Management, IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
