About the Position Architecture, design and test of large-scale digital video processing and distribution systems. Activities would include mapping product requirements to architectural design, developing design specifications, engaging in board-level design including, schematic capture, guiding board layout, hardware bring-up, design validation and debug. In this role you will mentor less experienced engineers, review other designs and oversee the development of components of a larger system design. Effective interfacing and collaboration with other design engineers, firmware engineers and product managers throughout the product design cycle is imperative to your success. Qualified Candidates will have:
BSEE Degree (transcripts required) 8
years proven track record architecting and designing hardware systems (video preferred) Proven High Speed board-level design experience Working knowledge of digital video interfaces, especially HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C and SMPTE video standards Experience designing embedded products including block diagramming, power estimation, thermal consideration, layout floor planning, signal integrity, EMI mitigation and reliability planning Experience designing around microcontrollers and application processors with high-speed memory (DDR2/3/4) and peripherals Strong working knowledge of data communication interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, USB, SDIO, Ethernet, PCIe Solid understanding of ethernet networking concepts and integration of ethernet into products Experience designing in FPGAs and working with FPGA design tools from various vendors Familiarity with FPGA embedded processor design (NIOS, MicroBlaze, Zynq, SoC) highly desirable Demonstrated ability to debug complex systems including FPGAs and multi-FPGA systems Experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers Software programming experience a plus (C/C++) Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to details, highly organized, self-motivated, computer literate Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Electrical Engineering, Hardware DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
