The successful candidate under the direction of the Human Resource Manager.
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for employee relations, recruiting and ensuring adherence to company's policies and procedures.
Bilingual Spanish/ English PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for carrying out day to day HR related administrative duties.
Work closely with HR Manager to provide support in the following functional areas:
payroll administration, onboarding, policy implementation, safety, company events.
Provide courteous and timely customer service to all employees.
Assist with preparing and compiling new hire orientation and termination packets.
Will also handle and review termination, exit interview with the assistance of the HR Manager Conduct new hire orientation to ensure that employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures with the HR manager.
Handle employee complaints, grievances, and disputes.
Maintain the human resource information system and employee database.
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions including FMLA/CFRA and all federal and state leaves.
May assist in the recruiting process with pre-screening and perform interviews for exempt and nonexempt positions.
Other duties as assigned Payroll Function:
Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance, and benefit and 401(k) deductions.
Enter all leaves including workers compensation into the Paylocity system.
Poll electronic time clocks (Web-time software) and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
Responsible for the complete payroll processing:
weekly, biweekly and month transfer of payroll data to Paylocity.
Compile internal management reports from payroll system software.
(Ex:
regular, overtime report and commissionsetc.
) Must update and maintain all payroll records.
This includes address changes and paycheck changes (taxes, raises or benefits).
Maintain and process all internal transfers.
Ensures payroll is in compliance with the law and meets the IRS standards which includes ACA.
Benefit Function:
Calculates and provides staff with annual fringe benefit allowance, reviews enrollment forms for accuracy and coordinates enrollment with third-party administrator.
Coordinates health, life and disability insurance enrollments and communicates with service providers concerning routine administration of programs.
Initiate all LOA's and follow up with deadlines.
Serves as contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
Works effectively to make sure the plans run smoothly.
Investigates discrepancies and provides information in non-routine situations.
Evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
Wellness programs Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations.
