Job Description:
As a Navigation Scientist and Senior Member of the Technical Team, you will be responsible for the planning, development, design, execution, test, and guidance for Navigation Engineering in Global Positioning Systems and other Position, Navigation and Timing technology on real-time HW/SW applications on DoD programs.
Must be able to work closely with the customer and other engineering disciplines.
Must have broad-based technical knowledge and experience to understand and evaluate systems engineering activities across the engineering functions.
Must have demonstrated practical industry depth and on-hands senior expertise in Navigation.
Essential Functions:
Clearance, ability to travel, working extended hours Provide technical leadership to all software development life cycle project activities (analysis, preliminary and detailed software design, code, test, verification, documentation and product release) of deeply embedded systems.
Develop and apply advanced engineering theories, methods, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems.
Work under consultative direction against annual goals and objectives to manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization.
Provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees
Qualifications:
Position requires a Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with minimum 9 years or a graduate degree with a minimum of 7 years prior relevant experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
10
years of technical leadership experience for software development team.
10
years of hands-on experience with deep embedded programming.
Active DoD SECRET security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience in GPS / PNT technology and GPS-denied/degraded, Alternative/Supplemental/Cooperative Navigation technology desired.
Experience in RF signal processing, GPS receiver design, ASIC and FPGA design desired.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $127,000 - $230,000.
This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
