The Intake Specialist reports to the directly to the Director of Scheduling.
Essential Job Duties:
Lead Intake Specialist assists new families with ABA and Therapy inquiries and on-boarding process to initiate services.
Builds relationships with insurance referral sources and provides weekly capacity availability and client updates.
Intake Specialist is required to learn each payor referral process and policies for all regions BHW services.
Verifies initial insurance benefits and eligibility for new clients.
Maintains Central Reach call log up to date with new information pertaining to client cases.
Adds new referrals/new updates to each specific region dash.
Communicates effectively with all appropriate parties (e.
g.
referral capacity, new authorizations, etc.
) Assigns new and continuing cases to the clinical team daily.
Assists families with questions after services are initiated and provides solutions.
Communicates program updates to all appropriate parties (e.
g.
case issues, case updates, program on hold, etc.
) Updates and audits region dashes on a weekly basis.
Collects assessment reports and progress reports and submits them to the corresponding funding sources.
Supports the intake assistant on daily tasks.

Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Minimum two -year customer service experience Minimum two-year experience working with insurance companies (preferred) Excellent communication skills Excellent organization skills Ability to communicate effectively using both written and verbal skills Commitment to upholding the company's mission and vision to the community Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Bilingual in Spanish Proficient with the Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets Position Duties and Responsibilities The following statements are intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of individuals assigned to this job.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
