You will lead and direct a diverse team of Security hourly Cast Members in multiple operational and specialized responsibilities.
You will need to think on your feet, adapt quickly to changing situations, and implement an operational plan in very short time frames.
Building partnerships with operational, investigative, law enforcement, and senior leadership partners is important.
This position reports to the Sr Security Manager.
What You Will Do Communicate the Security mission, vision, and related strategies to your team, and implement the respective plans within your responsibilities.
Implement plans through active onstage leadership, including the flexible deployment of resources based on both routine and evolving operational priorities and emergency situations.
Directly engage with Security Cast to provide the direction, expectations, information, and resources needed to accomplish the mission to serve and protect while achieving the highest level of guest service.
Maintain a positive, collaborative, and productive workplace environment by quickly identifying, engaging in, and resolving conflicts, promoting trust, and making recommendations for Cast relations decisions.
Make sound, high-quality decisions on tactical security issues, accurately judging the urgency, response, and need for further escalation.
Review metrics to monitor operating procedures, training, team and individual performance.
Establish relationships with peers, partners, and supporting law enforcement personnel.
Cultivate these relationships through inclusion, information sharing, and collaboration.
Mentor team members through coaching, developmental opportunities, and feedback.
Be a role model in the development of a culture of safety.
Communicate operational information trends to peers or other teams, elevating information and issues to senior leaders.
Review daily workload and scheduled labor to ensure operational needs are met.
Support Security Leadership Team with the implementation of Security Special Services and Security & Emergency Services strategies.
Complete required documentation of incidents/situations.
Be available to work a variety of shifts including 3rd shifts, weekends, and Holidays.
(Security is a 24-hour operation).
Required Qualifications & Skills Minimum 2 years of experience leading the operations, services, and activities of a Public Safety, Law Enforcement, Military, Security, or similar team.
Project Management skills - ability to develop project plans.
The ability to identify and resolve conflicts.
Experience training others and engaging our Cast.
Experience using computers and navigating different tools within a Windows environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm and focused during stressful situations and emergencies.
Knowledge of security technical practices including access control, emergency preparedness, crisis management, canine programs, security technologies, surveillance, and/or behavioral assessment.
Experience with scheduling practices and collective bargaining agreement environment.
Knowledge of Disneyland Resort property and resource Preferred EducationBachelor's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or similar security-related field.

#DXMedia The hiring range for this position in California is $70,000 - $93,800 per year.
The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
