A great company in the city of Anaheim is in need of an experienced buyer, position is temp to hire and pay is between $24.00- $30.00/ph DOE. Please see below for the job description.
POSITION
Reporting directly to the Division Controller, in Anaheim California, the Buyer is an important part of the Administrative Team and is responsible for providing support to the General Manager, Division Controller, Integration Department and the Administrative team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Buyer is responsible for processing orders provided by internal and external customers, purchasing, outsourcing, price negotiations and on-time delivery of all materials related to the Integration and Service departments. This position requires a close working relationship with the Engineers, Project Managers, Service Manager, Service Coordinator, Project Coordinator, vendors and the Accounting Department. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Purchasing
o Importing material into work tickets
o Creating Purchase Orders in MAS200
o Utilizing stock inventory
o Confirm part availability and delivery dates
o Expediting
o Verifying costs
o Reviewing, Confirming and Updating Cost changes
o Creating and providing reports to Project Managers
o Track delivery
o File maintenance
Vendor Cost Negotiations
o Build vendor relations
o Review Vendor costs
o Quote multiple Vendors
o Meet with vendors to reduce cost
Sourcing Parts
o Maintain multiple vendors
o Substitute product
Promotes the Company and its products in a professional manner.
Train and instruct temporary help or new hires
Additional duties & functions as assigned.

SKILLS, BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
Has 3-5 years experience as a Buyer in a construction / service environment
Experienced at understanding buying principles and processes
Has a mininum of 5 years experience working with MS Excel and MS Word
The ideal candidate would have a strong background in Purchasing, Outsourcing, and Negotiation
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Strong written and verbal skills
Possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
REQUIREMENTS
Three - Five years of Buying experience in a construction / service environment
Exposure to Job Cost
Ten key by touch
Proficient in MS Excel and Word
MAS90/200 - Job Ops, a plus
Ability to work in a team or individual environment
