Document Control Specialist

POSITION Overview:
Supports Document Control Manager in managing construction, design and quality document control functions while providing document control support for large construction project.
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for processing all submittals and input into designated system
o Maintain updated Submittal Log, monitor the submittal schedule and status
o Input RFI's, documentation and transmittals into designated system
o Receive, log, and track plans and specifications as received including all revisions
o Maintain all hard copy files of project documentation
o Maintain electronic copy files of project documentation
o Process and maintain files for change order requests, change orders, contracts, scope changes, and payment applications in an orderly and updated manner
o Process and maintain transmittals and associated documents
o Track and file project photo
Required:
o Prior document control or records management experience
o Experience working for a construction, engineering or architectural firm, or in another professional services industry
o Experience in processing and tracking large volume of documents
o Knowledge of data management software programs, ability to quickly learn complex document control software
o Expert administrative skills
o Proficiency of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
o Multi-tasker who is able to handle many details at the same time
o Confident, detail oriented, meticulous and dependable
o Ability to prioritize tasks while working in a fast-paced environment
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
