NEC Certified Electrician
PURPOSE
Aegis ITS, Inc. is seeking full time NEC certified Electricians for various Transportation System projects located throughout Southern California.
DUTIES:
Read blueprints or technical diagrams
Willingness and capability to work on traffic signals street lights and other Intelligent Transportation Equipment, using a bucket truck (provided by Aegis ITS, Inc.)
Inspect, install and maintain electrical components and systems, such as traffic signal circuits, cabinets, transformers, circuit breakers, services, street light luminaires, CCTV, communications equipment, etc.
Must be able to direct and supervise crews of up to four (4) Technicians/Electricians for individual projects
Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment relative to Transportation Systems.
Serves as a proactive customer service & quality ambassador of Aegis ITS, Inc. by representing the organization in a positive, professional manner to support The Brand Promise
Performs other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
Current California NEC Certification
High School Diploma or GED
Traffic Signal and Transportation Systems experience is a plus but not mandatory
Fiber Optic fusion splicing and OTDR testing experience is a plus but not mandatory
Must have a clean driving record
BUSINESS TRAVEL
Some business travel from site to site within the state of California is required as this is a Journeyman trade position.
