Position Summary As directed by the Canvass Manager, the Field Energy Lead implements and leads training and development initiatives for the Canvass programs in the field, while maintaining high performance in lead generation and appointment setting from their individual work in the field.
Leads teams Canvassers during field activities to ensure high-performance and program compliance, and may pilot new strategies and initiatives as the executor in the field.
Working closely with the Canvass Manager and Field Marketing corporate management team, assists with the hiring, coaching, monitoring, auditing, and development of Canvasser positions.
Implements the new hire training program and assists struggling employees as directed by their Canvass ManagerDuties and responsibilities Effectively present and translate learning into performance within a 1:
10 and a 1:
1 environment.
Adhere and train to the new hire training schedule Coach and make recommendations to the Canvass Manager for development between Canvasser ranks based on training, observance, auditing and performance metrics Train on more advanced canvassing or lead generation protocol with tenured team members Continually reinforce learning across the entire value chain and across the company.
Assists Canvass Manager in territory planning.
Identify and accelerate Best Practices across the field marketing team.
Adapt people, process and systems to maximize results.
Deliver feedback and coaching to Call Center representatives (Solar Advisors) and Canvassers via call monitoring and workshop training courses.
Effectively partner with Canvass Manager to work, supervise and monitor canvassing lead generation, recruiting and/or team motivation.
Provide necessary back-up support to Canvass Manager as requested.
Pilot new program strategies, processes, procedures and protocol.
Support team members' ad-hoc administrative requests with a positive "can do" attitude.
Take the initiative to problem-solve and creatively troubleshoot issues.
Attend and participate in company and departmental field marketing-related meetings.
Continue to meet and achieve Canvass (Lead Generation) performance goals.
In-market and out-of-market travel required 30%-75% .
Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills with direct customer contact or canvassing experience.
Experience with MS Office and preferably some CRM experience, including ability to create and run reports.
Salesforce experience preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, ability to work with little supervision.
High-school diploma or AA degree required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience Supervising and/or managing a team of individuals preferred, including a proven ability to hold employees accountable to performance standards.
Ability to work nights and weekends regularly.
Ability to travel within assigned territory as needed Must pass a pre-employment drug test, background check and have acceptable driving record.
Stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
Usage of standard office equipment, including computer keyboard and mouse, and phone.
Available to work overtime, weekends and non-standard shifts as required Regular travel by car or truck required 30%-75% .

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
