Financial Data Analyst - Gateway One Lending & Finance

SUMMARY: Gateway is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to perform analysis and deliver meaningful reports for managing relationships with parties that buy loans from Gateway ("investors"). This position requires exceptional analytical skills, significant industry experience, and a deep understanding of large-scale Loan Sales and Securitizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors key performance indicators to ensure long term loan sale results align to expectations
Maintains high level of credit risk awareness for each loan product offered
Maintains a complete understanding of the Gateway database as it relates to loan sales including data definitions, data relationships, and situations affecting the integrity and availability of data
Works with key stakeholders to identify and develop enhanced reporting relating to Loan Sales and Securitizations
Works with key stakeholders to create ad-hoc reporting as needed, achieving the accuracy and speed required by the Loan Sales team and in accordance with Business Analytics standards
Maintains existing queries and reports relating to Loan Sales and Securitizations
Manages multiple-step, complex projects and/or several smaller less complex projects simultaneously
Provides regular and frequent updates to Manager on all projects, reports, findings, analysis, etc.
Performs other reporting and analytical tasks unrelated to loan sales as directed
Performs a variety of tasks as required by manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years performing business analytics (or equivalent)
5 years experience in the Finance/Investment/Banking industry; experience in Auto Finance and/or Mortgage preferred
Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Business, Statistics, or Economics); Master's degree preferred
Knowledge and thorough understanding of large-scale Loan Sales and Securitizations by Financial Institutions
Knowledge and thorough understanding of financial concepts including Losses, Prepayments, and Amortizations
Ability to employ a thoughtful, creative approach to visualization of results
Ability to clearly present ideas and/or solutions to management
Ability to independently troubleshoot and investigate issues
Excellent problem solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail
High degree of creativity and flexibility
Experience with database systems preferred (i.e. SQL, Oracle, MS Access)
Understanding of end-user analytic tools preferred (i.e. Tableau, Business Objects)
Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook mastery required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
