Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Dough Maker provides our guests with the highest quality food available. The Dough Maker prepares dough according to Shakey's Standards, ensuring proper proofing, labeling, dating, and product rotation. Opens and closes station, properly stores all products, and ensures proper maintenance and cleaning of equipment and dough area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
Complete opening/closing procedures for work station.
Safely and effectively operate kitchen (dough) equipment and kitchen utensils.
Updated, follow, and complete the Daily Dough Usage chart.
Verify with Manager-in-Charge that enough dough has been prepared for the remainder of the day.
Ensure proper storage and rotation of product before clocking out.
Complete Daily Operations Log sign off on tasks completed.
Comply with ServSafe practices with regard to personal cleanliness and food handling.
Cross train in all other BOH positions (cook, dish washer, and pizza maker) and provide support to those work stations as needed.

1 year previous restaurant, and or pastry experience, preferred.
Flexible schedule; evenings and/or weekends may be required.
Mathematical ability in addition and subtraction.
Ability to read instructions and write product labeling.
Must be able to follow all safety, health and sanitation procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80-100 pounds. Ability to work with restaurant equipment (dough machine, knives, pots and pans, etc.). Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, grasping, pinching, smelling, reaching/lifting above shoulders in a repetitive manner, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Ability to work with cleaning solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
