Baseball Operations Internship Posting
The Los Angeles Angels are looking to hire a Baseball Operations Intern for the 2017 season. This is a compensated position (CA Min. Wage) that will provide exposure to multiple departments within baseball operations.
Internship Requirements:
Full-time availability from March 2017 through October 2017
A flexible schedule and the willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Characteristics of strong intern candidates may also include:
Creativity, open-mindedness, and strong attention to detail
Ability to remain organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience working in sports and/or baseball (college, pro, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with core Microsoft Office programs
Proficiency in speaking Spanish
Experience using SQL, R, and/or Python
Ability to evaluate players from a scouting and/or statistical standpoint
Familiarity with the Major League Rules and/or Collective Bargaining Agreement
Examples of internship responsibilities include (but are not limited to) assisting with:
Creating, organizing, and distributing Major League advance scouting reports
Preparing for the 2017 Amateur Draft
Collecting and organizing various forms of baseball information
Ad hoc data/information analysis projects
General administrative tasks
Other duties as assigned by the members of the Baseball Operations department

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
