Infants are born ready to learn and have an innate urge to explore and absorb informaiton from the signts, sounds and smells around them. Our infant/toddler curriculum is relationship based and infants/toddlers develop close bonds with their caregivers. We practice continuity of care where one caregiver provides nurturing support for his/her group of children from the time of enrollment until 3 years of age. Group care that supports the child's attachment to a special caregiver and a small group of children over time promotes the child's healthy growth and development.
Teaching staff complete developmental assessments (DRDP) within the first 60 days of enrollment plus a follow up assessment to measure each childā s growth over a year and two parent conferences annually. Teaching staff build relationships which support ongoing communication and partnership with families. Teaching staff observe and document childrenā s emerging interests and progress through anecdotal notes and through the portfolio of individual work. Teaching staff follow Licensing guidelines for supervision, childrenā s personal rights, and health and safety.
Education: 12 units in child development, early childhood development or related field (be able to provide transcripts) including Infant/toddler class. Child Development permit required depending on center funding.
Experience: prior childcare experience in a intant/toddlerl setting; 2 years preferred. Prepare anecdotal notes, portfolios, assessments.
Work Hours: position is needed for the following hours: 7:30-3:00pm; some flexibility to work alternate hours as center needs require
Strong teamwork and customer service skills
Initiative, problem-solving, and time management skills
Interact with children in a manner consistent with CDI/CDC philosophy
Bilingual Spanish preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
