Insurance Specialist - Gateway One Lending & Finance

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing queue(s) consisting of vehicles that have been deemed a total loss and review for gap claims.
Work with Insurance Companies & Gap Administrators to file/resolve insurance claims in a timely fashion.
Review insurance evaluations/offers provided by Insurance Company, negotiate offers as needed and forward to the gap administrator.
File lien holder claims as needed.
File complaints with the Department of Insurance as needed.
Answer inbound Insurance calls for the department.
Provide back up to Gap Claim Team & Total Loss Team as needed
Assist Insurance Supervisor with other duties/projects as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Experience 1 year in handling Total Loss claims preferred
Previous Auto Finance experience preferred.
Education-High School diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal/written communication skills including negotiation and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react quickly in a fast paced environment are needed to be successful in role.
Ability to work well on a team and focus on results; exhibit adaptability and flexibility.
Willing to work overtime as needed to attain desired results and to prevent backlogs.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
