Sr. Software Engineer I

We're currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer I. In this role you
will perform professional level software/systems design engineering assignments of wide complexity under general direction and with considerable discretion as to work details in the design and development of computer systems hardware and software. Strong leadership skills are highly desirable for this position.
Your day to day activities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
System Software Development
Designs, modifies, develops and implements system software applications for Windows, Linux or Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) based platforms. This includes but is not limited to: real-time system software design, controls algorithm software implementation, user-interface design, development, testing and certification.
Participates in the setup, configuration and certification of system software, including satisfying Information Assurance (IA) requirements.
As a leader, the Sr. Software Engineer I may plan and coordinate work teams. Provides technical support and guidance to project team members.
Performs analysis and investigation of major system software engineering project tasks.
Performs analysis of system architecture requirements and development of software requirements. Development of design specifications, software performance parameters and software CDRL deliverable documentation.
Resolves difficult hardware/software compatibility and interface design issues
Collaborate with other engineering functions throughout the software development lifecycle to solve complex engineering problems.
Integration of software components into software/hardware systems or subsystems.
Conduct research on emerging technologies.
Embedded Real-Time Software Development
Design, modify, develop and implement embedded real-time software applications (the embedded applications may or may not require use of an OS). This includes but is not limited to: real-time embedded software design, controls algorithm software implementation and embedded user-interface design, development, testing and certification.
As a leader, the Sr. Software Engineer I may plan and coordinate work teams. Provides technical support and guidance to project team members.
Performs analysis and investigation of major real-time embedded software engineering project tasks.
Performs analysis of system architecture requirements and development of software requirements. Development of design specifications, software performance parameters and software CDRL deliverable documentation.
Resolves difficult hardware/software compatibility and interface design issues
Provide maintenance and support of delivered software applications (including porting to new or updated hardware platforms).
Collaborate with other engineering functions throughout the software development lifecycle to solve complex engineering problems.
Integration of software components into software/hardware systems or subsystems.
Conduct research on emerging technologies.
Your education/experience includes:
Requires a B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent discipline, with six or more years applicable software/systems design engineering experience, or a minimum of three years of applicable experience with a Master's Degree in a related field.
Five or more years of relevant work experience, including experience in real time embedded software development (applicable to engineers who are working on the embedded systems).
Five or more years of relevant work experience with Windows environments (e.g. workstation and embedded), distributed systems, information retrieval and TCP/IP (applicable to engineers who are working in systems software development area).
Five or more years applicable programming experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C
In addition, the following skills are highly desirable:
Experience in leading technical teams
Experience in the full software development product lifecycle
Experience in developing products for Military or Aerospace applications
Familiarity with digital signal processing, machine to machine communications, and fiber optics based communications subsystems
Knowledge of Java or C#
Proficiency with communication protocols, such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet
Experience using tools such as Matlab and Simulink to support software development
Hands-on experience using test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Bus Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, etc.) in developing and testing software

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
