Senior Sustaining Engineer I (Power)

In the Senior Sustaining Engineer role, you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of electrical power systems for shipboard applications. Design maintenance includes those products that have been released to Manufacturing for ongoing production and/or production of spares.
Your day to day activities will include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Provide power electronics engineering support for design, development, integration, operation and sustaining of electrical components, equipment and systems.
Perform engineering analysis of power electrical circuits, equipment or systems.
Perform Project Management
a. Lead detailed technical WBS definition, cost, and technical schedule creation
b. Manage day to day technical aspects of the project, including cross-functional decision making, task/schedule management, issue resolution/escalation, communication, requirements management, and risk management activities. Activities overseen include software, digital, electrical power, mechanical, configuration management, and systems engineering.
c. Lead activities to define system architecture and associated technical requirements
Perform Proposal Development
a. Lead technical WBS definition, cost estimation, risk estimation, and technical schedule creation
Interpret RFP requirements and lead the creation of proposal technical approach and content
Responds in a timely manner to provide assistance in determining design-related causes and assist with design changes as required.
Provides technical support and works closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Test Personnel to investigate issues/malfunction events identified through the FRB process and support proper prioritization of problems identified that develop in the course of equipment production and deployment.
Works directly with established customers to maintain processes directly related to their customized products and update the aforementioned processes to meet the changing technical environment of industrial and military requirement.
Interfaces with the company's engineering staff, vendor and customer personnel on program issues of technical concern.
Your education/experience includes:
Bachelor's degree in related Engineering field from four-year college or university. BSEE preferred.
Must have 10 years related experience and/or training in aerospace, military, defense and space programs; power design experience is preferred.
Design familiarity with IGBTs, SCRs and other power switching devices is preferred.
Knowledge of Navy/Military environmental qualification testing.
Knowledge of Mil-Specifications.
Must be able to work as a key member supporting the design team and working with other Power Design Engineers, Digital and Analog Engineers, System Engineers and Software Engineers.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
