CRE Principal Inspector - Anaheim, CA

Fulfills Senate Bill 961 requirement for continuous inspection of all construction/renovation of new or existing hospitals in the State of California, and compliance with all requirements outlined in Part 1, Title 24 C.C.R. 2001. Inspectors of Record are also utilized on non-state permitted projects at the request of the Project Teams to ensure compliance with Title 21 and 24, approved construction documents, and coordinating activities of the local building department.
Essential Functions:
Performs all Level functions plus:
Reviews the Contract Documents and provides support for the development of the project budgets and Request for Proposal for the Testing and Inspection Laboratories.
Analyzes the results of the Request for Proposals and participates in the selection of the Special Testing Laboratories/Consultants.
Review Testing and Inspection and Observation requirements and participates in the development of the Testing and Inspection Plan to forecast manpower requirements.
Participates in the selection of Project Inspector of Records, Special Inspection Inspectors, and Project Support Personnel.
Directs and manages Testing and Inspection Team in the day-to-day activities and provides performance input.
Attend all applicable Project meetings providing input on Testing and Inspection issues.
Facilitates Field Reviews with the appropriate Regulatory Agencies and Design Team.
Accountable for all Testing and Inspection project documentation, performance of the Testing and Inspection Team, and project budgets, on and off site.
Provides mentoring to Apprentice Inspector of Record and reports performance to management.
Reports to the Area Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years of construction experience on major hospital construction projects&maintaining construction records.
Bachelor's degree in construction related field and four (4) years of experience on Type I or Type II construction; OR
High School graduation and six (6) years of experience on Type I or Type II construction.
Both of the above experience must be with a special Testing Laboratory, Architect, Engineer, General Contractor, or Specialty Contractor/Agency in field(s) of Class "A" certification.
License, Certification, Registration
State of California, Office of Statewide Health Planning&Development, Class "A" Hospital Inspector required.

Must be able to skillfully communicate with all Project Team Members, as related to all aspects of the project.
Proficient in use of: word processing, spreadsheets&construction scheduling software.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
