Systems Engineering, Manager II

The Systems Engineering Manager II is responsible for the functional management of a team of Systems Engineers to include task leadership, cost and schedule control (EVMS), employee development, employee performance management, resource identification and management, and providing input to senior management on strategies and plans.
Candidates must have a proven track record of implementing best practices while leading their team through all aspects of systems development including DOD proposals, requirements, preliminary and detailed design, implementation, design verification testing, system integration testing, qualification, production release, transition to manufacturing and maintenance. Must be able to assess items presented for peer review and customer submission, provide superior technical guidance, have an in-depth understanding of the benefits and downsides of various system architecture decisions, and be able to lead a systems team through the performance of technical studies.
Duties include establishing metrics and methodologies needed to develop and allocate performance requirements for critical functions; ensuring trade/analysis tasks remain on schedule and within scope; evaluation of comments and input from specialty engineers and other organizations; negotiation and resolution of technical disconnects and/or issues. The selected candidate will lead the Systems Engineering Organization and own associated policies and procedures; work with Business Area Leadership and Stakeholders to support strategy development; and provide day-to-day management and leadership of their staff.

Required Education/Experience : Position requires a Bachelor or Master?s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline, along with a passion to further a career with L-3 IEC. Advanced Engineering degree preferred. Leadership/Management training and/or MBA a plus.
Systems engineering background in integrated system performance.
Previous hands-on development, design, and analysis with system capabilities and requirements development experience.
Experience with system modeling and optimization techniques.
Experience developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation.
Ability to develop, document, and maintain processes, methods, and tools.
Ability to manage and execute various tasks effectively.
Ability to effectively motivate and direct professional engineering and technical personnel.
Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities.
Provide succinct yet comprehensive briefings to team and management/leadership as needed.
Minimum of 15 years of recent senior technical management or leadership position on complex aerospace program required, with at least 5 years of experience managing people as a team.
Experience in Global Positioning Systems and/or Navigation Systems highly desirable.
Experience with a Unified Modeling Language (UML) (System Architect) and DOORS is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
