Senior Software Engineer - Temporary

In this role, your mission is to build the software that is at the heart of the products we develop. You will play a crucial part in Power Paragons success by ensuring that our code is developed and tested to the highest standards. In doing so, you will help us secure our business future as well as the safety and well-being of all those who use our products.
This project will be focused on porting from a large-scale system from Windows XP to Windows 7 (both Windows Embedded and Windows Server components). As such, experience in porting from a 32-bit system to a 64-bit system will be a definite plus.
Your day to day activities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Design, modify, develop and implement system software applications for Windows, Linux or Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) based platforms. This includes but is not limited to: real-time system software design, controls algorithm software implementation, user-interface design, development, testing and certification.
Collaborate with other engineering functions throughout the software development lifecycle to solve complex engineering problems
Participate in the setup, configuration and certification of system software, including satisfying Information Assurance (IA) requirements
Integration of software components into software/hardware systems or subsystems
Conduct research on emerging technologies
As a leader, you may plan and coordinate work teams. Provides technical support and guidance to project team members.
Performs analysis and investigation of major system software engineering project tasks.
Performs analysis of system architecture requirements and development of software requirements. Development of design specifications, software performance parameters and software CDRL deliverable documentation.
Resolves difficult hardware/software compatibility and interface design issues
Your education/experience includes:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline
Six or more years applicable software/systems design engineering experience or a minimum of three years applicable experience with a Masters Degree in a related field
Five or more years applicable programming experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C
Five or more years of relevant work experience, including experience with Windows environments (e.g. workstation and embedded), distributed systems, information retrieval and TCP/IP
The ideal candidate will have:
Two or more years of proven experience in technical leadership
Experience developing and certifying systems to meet Information Assurance (IA) requirements
Experience in Windows OS configurations using policies, user access rights and the registry
Experience or familiarity with Visual Studio 2008/2010
Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012 (Coding, management experience highly desired)
Experience with Windows GUI and .net frameworks
Experience with CodeWarrior
Experience with Windows embedded environments (e.g. WES 7)
Experience with Windows OS porting
Experience in using Matlab and Simulink for software verification
Experience in network programming and protocol analysis tools such as WireShark, NAST or equivalent
Experience in troubleshooting software issues using test tools (Oscilloscopes, Bus Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, etc.)
Additional programming experience in one or more of the following: C#, Java, Python or Perl
Experience/familiarity with power domain and/or control systems

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
