Job Summary: The Senior IT Engineer is responsible for theinstallation, validation, maintenance and oversight of technical applicationsor systems. This position serves as a liaison between ministries, clientsand/or other technical groups and reports to a Manager or Senior Manager, IT.

Essential Functions:
1.Provides answers to technical and non-technical customer questions and suggestprocess improvements.
2.Analyzes, diagnoses and determines the root cause of a technical problem andeither solves it or pass it to the responsible resources for remediation.
3.Maintains knowledge base of known issues, steps required to address particularissues\tasks, documentation of new processes and general updates to keepcontent current.
4.Ability to prioritize issues.
5.Encourages, maintains and develops a professional business relationship withinternal and external customers by providing prompt, efficient and professionalservice at all times.
6. Understands and adheres tocurrent SJH policies including, but not limited to, change management policies,access provisioning policies and audit requirements as required.

1.May support other ministries and opportunities and needs arise in support ofthe global SJH IT organization.
2. Maybe required to attend regularly scheduled departmental and/or key ministrymeetings and planning sessions to represent IT.
3.Monitors and identify opportunities for improving business processes byleveraging new or existing technologies.
4.May collaborate with enterprise engineering team to assure operationalreadiness of new technologies, affects and transitioning.
5. Assists with contractreview.

On Call / Standby
Collaborate withother technical system team members to assure operational readiness of newtechnologies and major changes to existing technologies and affects thetransition of these items from pre-production to production.
Extensive root cause analysis experience.
Maintains accurate accounting of relevant hardware and softwareasset inventory.
Accurately maintains, documents, and regularly reports on relevanthardware & software sunset
dates and informs budgeting by providing timely projected annualrefresh/upgrade costs.
Recommend, develop and maintain all relevant & necessarydocumentation (topologies, administration manuals, standard operatingprocedures, support contracts etc.).
Escalate and publish all known and identified risks to systemavailability and performance.
Exposure to and familiarity with the fundamentals of allcomponents of IT infrastructures in enterprise environments includingnetworking, servers, operating systems, desktops, remote access andapplications.
Extensive working knowledge of server for both server andworkstation provisioning.
Must understand individual application design and requirementshelping to optimize application delivery within thin- client and virtualizedenvironments.
Significant experience in system benchmarking and performance.
Hands on experience configuring,troubleshooting, optimizing and managing the following:
Windows server 2000,03,07,08 as well as in Windows Server 2003/08environments.
Large volume dataconversion, data cleansing, production report generation and upholdingscheduled data delivery standards.
Solid experience with scripting or automating execution ofconfiguration or data collection tasks utilizing tools and languages such asVB-Script, WMI, ADSI, Power Shell or similar.
Exposure to a broad cross section of IT technologies anddisciplines including networking, Wintel architectures, NIX, SAN, enterprisehealthcare class applications and their interactions.
Solid theoretical knowledge and hands on experience configuring,troubleshooting, optimizing and managing most of the followinghardware/software technologies
& protocols:
Cisco NexusSwitches
(7K, 5K and 2Ks) plus NX OS
Cisco Wireless
Netscaler Load Balancers
Security appliances (Firewall, IPS, IDS VPNs, etc)
Layer 2 VACL's, SPAN, RSPAN, ERSPAN, CEF, CRB, MLS, LAN aggregatepolicing, etc.
Routing - Expertknowledge and experience with BGP, EIGRP & OSPF, route filtering,redistribution, summarization, routing protocol tuning, security, optimization,and other advanced features. Cisco IOS security controls- Storm control, COPP,802.1x, port security, DHCPsnooping, RPF, PVLAN, DAI, IPSG,ACLs, RACLs, VACLs, CBAC, CAR, NBAR. , TACACS , RADIUS, LDAP, PKI
HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, content switches, reverse proxies, SSLaccelerators content cache systems.
Wireless- RF Fundamentals, RRM,
802.11a/b/g/n, WEP,Cisco LEAP, WPA/WPA2, EAP-Fast, EAP-TLS, PEAP,RADIUS, LDAP authentication,
Network Management- SNMP, RMON, Netflow, Syslog, networkmanagement/monitoring systems (HP Openview, Cisco Works etc.), and protocolanalyzers
Scripting: Cisco EEM or similar languages.

Education: 4 year College degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: 6 - 7 years of experience in related field

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
