Titles Specialist II - Gateway One Lending & Finance

SUMMARY: The Title Specialist team manages the paper and electronic vehicle titles which serve as collateral for Gateway One's auto loans. Title Specialists work with DMVs, Auto Dealerships, and customers around the country to secure titles for cars financed by Gateway One. Once the auto loan is paid in full, Title Specialists release the title to the vehicle's owner. Must have ability to quickly adapt to changing departmental needs and perform a wide variety of departmental duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and organize Titles, both Paper and Electronic, from DMVs, Auto Dealers, etc.
Track down missing auto titles and untangle complex situations to secure the title for Gateway One
"Release" Gateway One as the lien holder once the loan has been paid off
Work with Dealer Risk group to flag Auto Dealerships with excessive outstanding titles
Pull Paper Titles from borrower files for the Paid Account Report and match Payoff documents
Document all internal and external systems with comments and data relating to the vehicle's title
Update system and re-file Titles on Insufficient Funds Returns
Research Vehicle Identification Number and other vehicle information corrections
Work with DMVs in handling state changes
Field Inbound calls
Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers
Communicate professionally and effectively with all parties, in a manner consistent with the Company's values of honesty and integrity.
Execute all processes and clerical duties with superior attention to detail, maintaining a narrow margin of error
Perform other related duties as required
Work independently, requiring little oversight
Maintain a positive, constructive attitude as a contributing team member of the Loan Servicing Operations department
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
3 years general office experience required
3 years Call Center experience preferred
Auto Finance experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with Auto Titles and Title processes preferred
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Goal Driven: Must realize daily/monthly goals and strive to achieve them
Excellent communication skills: Ability to relay customer information clearly and concisely
Detail Oriented: Must be able to pay close attention to the details of documentation and processes
Flexible: May be required to work overtime, including weekends, to meet company goals
Enthusiastic: Must be a self starter and willing to complete a high volume of work each day
Good work ethic: Must have the ability to report to work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers and customers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism
Motivated: Must consistently provide high level of quality customer service. Eager to grow with the organization

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
