JOB DESCRIPTION:
National Technical Systems (NTS), the leading provider of testing and engineering services, has an open position for a recent college graduate with a BS in Materials Engineering to work in an Engineering role to lead our Special Projects Group in its Anaheim, CA location. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; confirming with management
Designing and procuring mechanical and electrical test fixtures
Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements;
Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates
Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements
Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
Controls project costs by monitoring and approving expenditures
Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions
Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Conduct Finite Element Analysis to validate required specifications are met
Customer Liaison
Supervise small team of technicians
Required Skills Educations/Experience:
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and ale to pass a drug test and DMV and background check
Must be local
A recent BS Degree in Materials Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Mechanical/Electrical Design Skills and Experience with LabView preferred
Background in electronic and mechanical systems and test equipment
Capable of creating test programs and computer software programs (LabView)
Good verbal communication skills
Extensive computer skills
Proficient in technical writing
Excellent people skills and be a strong team player willing to adapt as necessary
Ability to tolerate stress and work in a fast paced environment
Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Positive Can Do attitude while displaying the initiative and ability to problem solve
Strong attention to detail
Willing to work overtime when needed

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
