Assistant Manager, Asset Recovery

SUMMARY:Work directly with the Sr. Manager in monitoring and tracking day today operations to ensure effectiveness in performance and productivity. Workclosely with the Sr. Manager in identifying trends and opportunities forprocess improvement to become a more efficient and effective department. Provideassistance and guidance to Supervisors in their daily functions to ensure thedepartment is running to full capacity while working together as a team with ahigh level of motivation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor day to day operations toensure optimal efficiency and results on a daily basis.
Review daily reporting forperformance trends and identify outliers.
Ensure daily production is on trackand within department standards.
Review daily workloads and staffingto be fully staffed and direct open queues.
Closely monitor Potential Charge-Offvolume to ensure progression of collection steps and identify additionalstrategies or oversight required.
Ensure ongoing training andSide-by-Sides are conducted to improve individual results and consistencywithin the department.
Provide ongoing training and guidancefor staff throughout all stages of their assignment, including queuemanagement, progression of collection steps; skip tracing on accounts,repossession agent communication and relationship building and providingguidance for effective collections calls.
Maintain clear knowledge of policiesand procedures, best practices, and situational advice as requested byManagement.
Develop and maintain all training materials.
Discuss department strategies with the Sr.Manager for continued results and effectiveness.
Create and promote contests to motivate teamwhile driving department results.
Review high profile accounts to ensureappropriate progression of collection steps.
Provide feedback and guidance on the next stepson challenging accounts.
Work with lower performing queues and identifyareas of opportunity and provide tools needed for successful queue results. Work with HR as needed for coaching,development and disciplinary action.
Detect and report trends in Collectors, Teams andTerritories to address problems, identify training opportunities and suggestprocess changes.
Contribute to the development and implementationof processes and documentation which keep audit numbers low and quality highacross all Teams.
Ensure maintenance of the Collections Reference Guide.
Schedule and track Compliance Training for theDepartment.
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately 5 years Collections Supervisor/Management experience in the Auto Finance Industry.
Experience with Asset Recovery Preferred
Previous experience with the coaching anddevelopment of employees and supervisors
Previous experience in creating training manualsand documents
Clear understanding of the policies andprocedures of the GOLF Asset Recovery Department and the values of the Companyand a proven ability to uphold them consistently in all situations.
Must have proven track record of understandingPolicies and Procedures and working efficiencies of an Asset RecoveryDepartment
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and calmdemeanor when working with a range of personalities, different levels ofemployees and managers and difficult customers while keeping an open mind.
Must be able to prioritize, demonstrate strongtime management and maintain work flow with minimum direct supervision
Ability to work a flexible schedule which mightinclude nights and weekends
Effective communication, negotiation, problemsolving and persuasion skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
