Supplier Food Safety Specialist

+ Review third party food safety audit reports of food suppliers to verify compliance with regulatory and Disney requirements.
+ Review supplier audit corrective and preventative action plan to confirm non-conformances are adequately addressed.
+ Conduct risk-based assessments to identify hazards associated with foods and to evaluate and categorize potential supplier/product risk
+ Prepare supply chain metrics, reports, and key performance indicators
+ Identify food safety & public health deficiencies and provide recommended solutions
+ Provide feedback that assists in development and continuous improvement of supplier food safety programs including best practices for prevention of foodborne illness, regulatory compliance, and documentation
+ Oversee investigation and resolution of supplier food related complaints
+ Serve as the recall coordinator and subject matter expert regarding food recalls/withdrawals (i.e. recall response readiness)
+ 3 years of food manufacturing Quality Control, food science, and/or equivalent food safety experience.
+ Proficient with MS Office suite of programs
+ Knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative
+ Understanding of food manufacturing including but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Agricultural Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, pest management, sanitation, personal hygiene, food defense, traceability and recall, training, allergen control program, labeling, microbiological testing, receiving, storage, and distribution.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
+ Knowledge of and ability to interpret regulatory codes and regulations
+ Food Safety Manager certification
+ HACCP Training/Certification
+ Food Safety Auditor Training
+ Valid driver?s license
+ 5+ years of food manufacturing Quality Control, food science, and/or equivalent food safety experience.
+ Strong technical writing and communication abilities
+ NEHA Certified Professional in Food Safety (CP-FS)
+ Practicing ISO or Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Recognized Scheme Auditor
+ Minimum Bachelors degree in food science or related field
+ Masters degree in food science or related field

The Purpose of the Supplier Food Safety group is to protect our Guests and Cast Members by ensuring that all food delivered to Disney is safe. The main objectives will be to support world-wide supplier pre-qualification process and provide ongoing monitoring of suppliers compliance to regulatory and global food safety standards. The Supplier Food Safety Specialist focuses on ensuring our Supplier base maintains compliance to Disney policy and regulatory requirements. In addition, the specialist will be responsible for crisis management resolution (food recall, complaints) and verifies suppliers have implemented appropriate corrective actions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
