Supervisor, Loss Mitigation - Gateway One Lending & Finance

Summary:
This position will be responsible for supervising associates and managing day to day operations of the Loss Mitigation group tasked with addressing Red Flag customer complaints, out of business no title account issues, and referring accounts to Gateway counsel for litigation.
Responsibilities:
Supervise Loss Mitigation associates assigned to the group
Manage day to day operations of the group
Ensure compliance with Gateway Policies and Procedures
Provide training, development, and mentoring of associates as needed
Establish policies and procedures and methods for improving group objectives and resolving issues with troubled accounts
Communicate expectations and objects to group associates
Provide direction and assistance de-escalating and resolving problem account
Interface with other department supervisory staff and management as needed
Provide reporting and accountability metrics to management
Provide leadership and direction for resolving problem accounts and addressing all tasks referred to the group

Familiarization with legal processes and terminology

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor Degree preferred
Previous management or supervisory experience
Experience: At least 4 years' of Auto Finance experience, including experience that demonstrates effective customer service skills.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to organize multiple projects, exercise good judgment, maintains a high level of confidentiality, exhibit a professional demeanor.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
