QA Lab Specialist

We are currently seeking a QA Lab Specialist to work in our manufacturing plant in Anaheim, CA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Independently perform chemical and physical analysis and samples required for quality assurance of products or processes, draw conclusions based upon results, and provide product adjustments as needed.
Perform microbiological testing.
Communicate timely results and provide support to production team.
Analyze SPCS/SQC and method validation data.
Provide accurate and appropriate documentation of results, equipment maintenance, and calibration in laboratory logbooks, spreadsheets, LIMS NWA, and certificates of analysis, etc.
Approve incoming and outgoing material, ensuring product meets all customer specifications prior to approval of shipment, disposal of samples, solution preparation, preparation of non-standardized reagents.
Actively participate in safety/waste programs, maintain good lab housekeeping, adhere to safety policies and standards, and attend monthly safety meetings.
Participate in departmental and continuous process improvement meetings;
In addition, this position performs miscellaneous administrative and laboratory support duties as assigned.
The Laboratory Specialist position could rotate first, second and third shift.
This position is non-exempt and incumbents are eligible for overtime pay and reports to the QA Manager.
Required Experience
BS degree chemistry or similar field with laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment with 3- 5 years of laboratory experience.
Additional candidates with a minimum of 2 years college chemistry will be considered.
Qualifications & Skills
Strong organizational, writing skills, people and communication skills.
Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new technologies (instrumentation, test methods, software, etc.)
Strong initiative and desire to work in a team environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
