The City of Anaheim, is seeking a DEPUTY DIRECTOR, CONVENTION CENTER SALES & SERVICES to lead, direct, manage, supervise, and coordinate the activities and operations of the Convention Center Sales and Services Division within the Anaheim Convention Center (part of the City of Anaheim's Convention, Sports, and Entertainment Department) including convention booking and sales, box office, parking, and event services activities; to oversee lease agreement contract negotiations; to coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments, in-house (vendor) partners and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Executive Director of Convention, Sports, & Entertainment. This position is responsible to maintain a superior level of customer service and effective relationships with all clients and in-house partners, development of policies, procedures, and programs for achieving the customer and operational goals set by the Department and providing the highest level of management, integrity and service to clients and the general public, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Direct Reports: 4 (Event Services Manager, Contracts & System Administrator (sales), Parking/Box Office Manager and an admin)
Vendor Partners reporting to this position: Catering Services (Aramark), Technology Services (Smart City), AV (PSAV) and Utility Contractors (electrical & plumbing).
Reports to: Executive Director of Convention, Sports, & Entertainment
Overall Budget: $50m (roughly)
Sales, Service and F & B revenue budget: $30m

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
