Position Description: Provide quality administrative and financial services to the profit center/project.
Reports To: Senior Accountant
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate the timely and accurate data entry process for all subcontractor applications and general conditions.
Assist accountant in preparation of Turner application for payment.
Assist accountant in the preparation/maintenance of all financial reports associated with the project.
Assist in setting up and maintaining the project accounting files.
Assist in maintaining reporting tools such as insurance requirements for subcontractors.
Assist in preparing required billing documents.
Attend meetings to review pay application drafts as needed.
Assist in managing project accounts payables and receivables, including communicating with subcontractors and vendors regarding invoices.
Assist in maintaining monthly reports such as Check Held, Sales and Use, and PP&E reports; distribute monthly reports to project staff and corporate office.
Assist Project Accountant in timely and accurate billing proofs.
Assist in reviewing ledgers and assist in correcting mispostings through Journal Entries or Accounts Payable.
Assist in providing documentation for internal and external auditors.
Establish solid communication with all staff, both project and corporate.
Assist in reviewing weekly labor timesheets
Any other specific duties as assigned by the Accounting department.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Understand basic accounting principles i.e. journal entries, general ledger, etc. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, good work ethic and interpersonal skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
