We are currently hiring full-time, part-time, and per diem RN's. We are looking for the RN that wants to use their critical care skills in the transport world versus the hospital. If you are an RN that has worked in a hospital setting and want to see the world (outside of the walls) and use your discretion and independent judgment with your RN ER and/or ICU experience, then this is the position foryou.
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of theCCT Manager, the CCT RN works with the vision, direct leadership and motivation necessary to operate in a high quality critical care transport team. Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls and delivers high quality patient care and customer service within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols and company policies. Makes or approves all decisions requiring interpretation of clinical delivery and company policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Identify patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements.
+ Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
+ Promote patient awareness by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient and family in regards to illness or disease process, treatment rendered while in the care of the CCT team.
+ Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments by collaborating with team members and multidisciplinary members; staying current with CCT guidelines and required in-services, training and staff meetings.
+ Define nursing/paramedic/EMT practices by encouraging and supporting quality improvement efforts.
+ Ensure continuity of services while adhering to all laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures as they pertain to the CCT Program.
+ Represent organization by establishing and maintaining relationships with outlying hospitals.
+ Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops through the review of professional publications and by benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
+ Maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with our partner hospitals as well as other specialty transport teams.
+ Develop and implement a CCT department plan to include all of the following components:
+ Communicate and collaborate with the CCT Manager on pertinent issues.
+ Maintains through familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements and quality assurance procedures in system in which assigned.
+ Maintains awareness of any and all changes in the system components and company policy.
+ Maintains the level and type of certification consistent with performing tasks in the system to which assigned.
+ Complies with all state, and company requirements for operation of motor vehicle.
+ Operates a company vehicle in accordance with company policy and safe practices.
+ Develops ability to quickly and safely locate addresses through knowledge of number systems and street layouts.
+ Ensures that unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supply and equipment, cleanliness and appearance standards.
+ Completes all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policy.
+ Attends all CCT team meetings.
+ Maintains a cooperative working relationship with allied health and public safety personnel.
+ Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniforms standards.
+ Ensures EMT partner maintains the same standards.
+ Reports all problems and unusual occurrences immediately to the CCT Manager.
+ Monitors performance of EMT partner, corrects errors as necessary, provides training and feedback.
+ Evaluates performance of EMT partner and submits written reports as requested by management.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Must be currently licensed by the California Board of Registered Nurses with no violations or restrictions.
+ Two years of experience in a critical care environment (ER, ICU) in a large tertiary care facility that provides high acuity patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
+ One year of experience in a critical care transport environment (air or ground) preferred.
+ Must be currently certificated in:
+ BLS
+ ACLS
+ PALS
+ NIH Stroke Scale (Within 90 days of hire)
+ Must possess valid identification.
+ Must be a ?self-starter? and assertively take on challenging responsibilities and hold self ultimately accountable for results and performance.
+ Must have superb diagnostic and clinical skills and able to obtain an excellent history, perform an extensive physical and formulate a treatment plan while including the team members.
+ Has extensive knowledge of the uses, dosages and side effects of medications as they apply to different disease states, and able to assess clinically whether or not the medication is effective.
+ Promote team spirit and work collaboratively with others on the medical team.
+ Must have excellent multi-tasking skills. Prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction.
+ Must have excellent, in-depth knowledge of physiological functions and processes as they relate to issues of patient care.
+ Display professionalism, compassion and sound medical practice when dealing with challenging situations.
+ Demonstrated ability to solve unusual problems and give articulate direction.
+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
+ Worksindependently and as a team member.
+ Ability to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas.
+ Able toread, interpret, and follow instructions.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits:
+ Starting wage: $40/hour and after 1040 hours $45/hour.

+ PRN Ambulance will pay for your ACLS, PALS, and BLS up to $150 each upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor?s degree, Master?s degreeor equivalent.
+ CEN/CCRN/MICN certification.
+ Five to Ten years ER/ICU/CCT combined experience.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to perform the following tasks:
Walk - frequently, up to 10 hours per day.
Run - infrequently, 1-2 minutes per day.
Stand - frequently, up to 10 hours per day.
Sit - frequently, up to 8 hours per day.-
Kneel - frequently, 10-15 times per day.
Bend - frequently, 10-15 times per day.
+ Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry 250 Lbs. infrequently (1-3 times per shift)
+ Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry 150 Lbs. frequently (5-10 times per shift)
+ Must have ability to step up and/ or climb over obstacles
+ Must be able to climb stairs while carrying up to 150 Lbs.
+ Must have adequate hearing acuity to perform job tasks (as delineated in California DMV DL51 medical examination requirements)
+ Must have adequate vision (with corrective lenses if needed) to clearly distinguish colors, shapes, distances, etc. (as delineated in California DMV DL51 medical examination requirements)
+ Must have adequate hand and finger dexterity to grip and hold both large and small items
+ Must have adequate hand and arm strength to grip and lift heavy objects
+ Must be able to tolerate work in an outdoor environment (heat, cold, rain, etc.)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
