Local Unit & Position Description
DNV GL Business Assurance North America's Food and Beverage Division partners with clients to assure quality and safety throughout the supply chain through certification, verification, training and assessment activities. As independent third party auditors we assist clients of all sizes in achieving and maintaining internationally recognized certifications enabling our clients to guarantee the quality of their products.
Our auditors perform 3rd party quality and/or safety audits/assessments on behalf of customers and their suppliers. The FSSC Auditor focuses primarily on clients requiring the FSSC 22000 certification but also conducts other Global Food Safety Institute audits according to their individual qualifications. Food and Beverage auditors work with clients large and small at locations around the country to improve and ensure quality and safety at all points along the value chain.
Tasks May Include
Performs 3rd-party GFSI and FSSC 22000 certification audits for US and Canada F&B customers
Performs 3rd-party quality and/or safety audits/assessments on behalf of customers and their suppliers
Training by DNV GL to expand competency to BRC
Maintain schedule of audit activity with customers
Provide timely and accurate reviews of customer corrective action and closure
Maintain appropriate audit credentials and pursues advancement of those credentials and other related credentials as needed
Position Qualifications
Position Qualifications
Must have, or be willing to obtain, an EIN
Bachelor's degree in a Life Science required
At least 5 years of related food & beverage industry experience required
IRCA and/or RABQSA FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor Category C IV required
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification required
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification preferred
Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% of the time including mostly overnight stays and national travel often outside of normal work hours and occasional weekends
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to rent and drive a car and travel on public conveyances when required
Able to walk and stand for up to 4 hours at a time and maneuver throughout multiple levels of client sites either by stairs or elevator
Able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs in addition to transporting one's own luggage for multiple-day travel and push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel with that which is lifted, carried or transported
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
