Responsibilities include: Testing and problem solving for personal/commercial lines property and casualty products within the United States. Developing new processes for web-based or company software platform to streamline underwriting production. Creating programming enhancement designs, special projects, auditing and designing new reports. Understanding and developing logistical changes related to rule and rate filings, including developing flow charts.
Must possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and Power-Point, including knowledge of pivot tables.
Must be able to type a minimum of 40 WPM.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrate good judgment and decision making skills.
Detail oriented, complex problem solving skills and project management experience.
Ability to manage time efficiently.
Active listening and good oral/written communication skills.
Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
Prior personal lines underwriting experience is preferred.
A current CA P & C insurance license is preferred.
Familiarity with known insurance industry policy software platforms is preferred.
