POSITION SUMMARY: The Prep Cook is responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, creating salads, and assisting put together entries based on menu order. The Prep Cook will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment that is compliant with the California Health District regulations. Have fun and make friends!! QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 years' recent experience relevant to this position preferred. Must exhibit a focused attention to detail, while working in a high-pressure environment. Possess the ability to work as part of a team. Must be self-motivated to see tasks through to completion. Must be able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment in addition to handling delicate objects, such as glassware, without damaging. Maintain a clean and safe working environment as outlined by the California Health District. Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral. Multilingual skills are a plus. Understands and enforce federal, state, and local food sanitation regulations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (include but are not limited to). Food preparation, chopping vegetables, making salads and putting together entrees. Ensuring that food is properly stored. Performing kitchen maintenance; emptying the trash, mopping floors and washing dishes. Learns and adheres to the designated cooking methods to assist in preparing the appropriate menu items consistently. Strives to learn to improve cooking skills and expands knowledge about food products and techniques. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas. Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift. Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required Must be able to bend, pull, and carry bar stock to refrigerators and cabinets. Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and manually push/pull up to 150 pounds. Must be able to use hand motion when cleaning and wiping counters and surfaces. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
