Personal Projects



Point of Sale System (Visual Basic/SQL)



  • Created a point of sale system connected to a Microsoft Access database that automatically generated financial reports and employee sales statistics


 


Kiosk (HTTP)



  • Used two old monitors, a one-way mirror, and two raspberry pis, to make a mirrored kiosk that displays my personal calendar and some widgets when on, and turns back into a mirror when off

  • Loaded Linux Operating System onto the Pis, created SSH access and Virtual Network Computing for real-time remote access from my desktop computer to fix bugs or change display preferences

  • Created a webpage to display desired widgets and apps

  • Created a MySQL database along with a webpage enabling access to the database for users with specific queries

The Ranch Restaurant/Extron Electronics – Anaheim, CA



  • Programmed virtual buttons for Point of Sale system to accommodate newly inventoried wines

  • Inventory Management utilizing a proprietary interface on an automatically updating database

  • Purchase Ordering for restaurant and saloon bars

    • Worked in a team to troubleshoot input validation for said database’s interface

    • Lowered surplus inventory by suggesting an employee wine sale for unsold wines

    • Reduced waste by implementing a more efficient labeling system for our 10,000+ inventory of wine bottles
