Vehicle Description 1965 RALLY RED CORVETTE 396 CONVERTIBLEAwesome Top Flight Award winner!Rally Red w/Red interior L78 396/425hp 4-speed manual transmission.
Mid-Year Corvette's tend to attract a lot of attention when they're out on the road.
The design is simply timeless and even if you're not a car person anyone would appreciate the beauty of one of these classics.
But even in the realm of second-generation Corvette's there are stand-out's.
And one of them is the car presented here.
They say all Corvettes are Red.
Well not really.
But this one most certainly is! Rally Red to be exact.
But where most would expect to see a Red Corvette on a regular basis what you wouldn't regularly see is one with Red interior! The '65 model year was a milestone for Corvette for a number of reasons.
It was the first year for standard 4-wheel disc brakes the last year for mechanical fuel injection and the introduction of the Mk IV 396ci big-block engine! The legend of the big block production Corvette started right here in '65! And the one year only 396 was offered only in a wild solid lifter version.
Striking would be a word that comes to mind upon viewing this #'s matching '65 in person.
Beautiful dazzling and graceful would be a few others.
All apt descriptions for a car that is significant to both the Corvette hobby and Corvette Mike as well! The car has been beautifully and correctly frame-off restored and is optioned with power windows am/fm radio and knock-off wheels with Gold line radial tires.
The engine is believed to be original to the car.
It's also the recipient of a National N.
